Hi, I’m Adilkhan Salkimbayev — a 19-year-old undergraduate student at KBTU, on the final year of my Bachelor studies.
I work on the intersection of Applied Mathematics and Scientific Machine Learnings. My interests sit at the intersection of Functional Analysis, Control Theory, and Partial Differential Equations, and I’m especially drawn to Navier-Stokes equations.
Research interests
- Functional Analysis - upon reading the work of Haim Brezis “Functional Analysis, Sobolev Spaces and Partial Differential Equations”, I fell in love with the rigor and mathematical certainty of the functional-analytic frameworks, using some of them in my everyday life.
- Control Theory - while by the nature of my major I encounter basics of it, I was curious to learn deeper underlying truths of the system design, thus I dedicated several months of my life to get a good grasp on the field’s advancements and publications.
- Partial Differential Equations - upon taking a deeper, more rigorous look into Navier-Stokes equations and the 6th Millennium Prize problem, I became fascinated with the underlying theory and took upon myself to learn it.
Currently
- A 4th year student at KBTU
- Preparing a manuscript on functional-analytic control architecture that I am designing
